3 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Luis Patino was scratched from his scheduled spring start on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox because his arm didn't feel right on Monday. Patino will throw live batting practice on Wednesday, and the team isn't panicking yet. If the 22-year-old still doesn't feel right on Wednesday, he'll likely be shut down from throwing while the team sends him for tests. In his first season with the Rays last year, Patino went 5-3 with a 4.31 ERA and 1.27 WHIP while fanning 74 hitters and walking 29 in 77 1/3 innings over 19 appearances (15 starts). We'll keep a close eye on the young hurler the rest of the week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
