3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (hip) will not return this weekend versus the Chicago Cubs, but manager Tony La Russa said that this weekend will be an important test and that his return is imminent. This is huge news for both the White Sox and fantasy managers. Robert was placed on the 10-day injured on May 2 with a Grade 3 right hip flexor strain and has been on his rehab assignment since July 19. Robert is one of the most exciting young stars in the game and is capable of helping managers across the board upon his return. Before landing on the injured list, he was hitting .316 with one home run, eight RBI and four stolen bases in 95 at-bats. Managers should expect him to return as early as next week and he should provide a big boost to managers in all formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
