6 years agoThe Yankees will send Luis Severino out to the mound for Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the Tigers and Domingo German for Game 2 reports Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Severino struck out 11 in his last start against the Astros and has an 11.34 K/9 over three career starts against the Tigers. Meanwhile, German has posted a 6.64 ERA over four starts this season and has allowed six runs in two of his last three starts. As far as Severino is concerned, he's a must start regardless of matchup, but German should not be started at all against a Tigers lineup which is seventh in the league with a .259 team average and has the fourth-fewest team strikeouts.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
