Luis Severino Prepared For Another Big Workload
7 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino worked with Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez in the Dominican Republic this offseason and is ready for another big workload in 2018 after he threw 193 1/3 innings during the regular season and another 16 in four playoff starts. Severino tossed 151 1/3 innings in 2016. "That was why I worked out so hard in my offseason," Severino said. "I knew that I was going to throw a lot of innings. Not that many, but I feel good right now." The young right-hander was one of the best pitchers in baseball last year, and a major part of that was his excellent command. The home run was his kryptonite, but he should still be a top-10 fantasy arm in drafts.
