Luis Severino Still Feels Discomfort
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder) said he still feels discomfort in his right shoulder and is waiting for his MRI results after being forced from his start early on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Severino doesn't think his injury is overly serious, but he's unsure if he'll be able to avoid a stint on the injured list. The good news is that the All-Star break next week will give the 28-year-old a break and could allow him to avoid a trip to the IL. He allowed three straight home runs and four total runs before exiting on Wednesday, but he still has a solid 3.45 ERA and 1.07 WHIP on the year with 95 strikeouts in 86 innings over his 16 starts. We'll bring you Severino's MRI results when they become available.
