3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (arm) said he felt good throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday and plans to be on the mound on Saturday in a spring training game against the Atlanta Braves. Severino is expecting to throw 40 or more pitches in his Grapefruit League start, which will be his final tune-up before the regular season. The 28-year-old right-hander reported right arm soreness earlier this week, and although it appears to be a minor issues, most fantasy managers are holding their breathe given Severino's history with arm injuries in the past. He could have his innings capped early in the season, but as long as he gets through Saturday's outing without setbacks, he should open the year in the Yankees rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
