Luis Severino To Make Another Rehab Start Thursday
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (lat) will make another minor league rehab start on Thursday due to scheduling, according to manager Aaron Boone. Severino is expected to be activated from the injured list the following Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 28-year-old right-hander threw 45 pitches in his latest rehab outing with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday, so he'll likely be stretched out a little more before returning to the Yankees starting rotation for the stretch run. There won't be much time for Severino to make an impact for fantasy managers the rest of the way, but he should still be rostered in most leagues.
