5 years agoA source has told ESPN’s Jeff Passan the San Diego Padres have traded infielder Luis Urias and pitcher Eric Lauer to the Milwaukee Brewers for outfielder Trent Grisham and pitcher Zach Davies. The highlight of the deal is the prospect-for-prospect swap of Urias for Grisham. Urias has been touted as one of the Friars top young prospects but the 22-year-old has scuffled to a .649 OPS in 302 big league plate appearance. Grisham, 23, was highly regarded in the Brewers organization and posted a .738 OPS in his first taste of the bigs in 2019 (183 plate appearances). Both players are worth keeping in dynasty leagues as more visibility on their future roles develop. As the side dish in the trade, the Brewers land 24-year-old Lauer who’s posted a 4.40 ERA and 8.3 K/9 in 52 career starts. The Padres receive Davies in return, a 26-year-old junkballer who should bolster an inexperienced rotation in 2020. Neither arm should garner much attention in upcoming fantasy drafts.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
