7 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Andy Green offered glowing remarks about 20-year-old second baseman Luis Urias on Thursday. San Diego's No. 3 prospect is making a strong case to make the MLB Opening Day roster, pushing incumbents Carlos Asuaje and Cory Spangenberg. While logistics of team control will likely prevent him from making the squad outright, he could be with the big league club by May. Signed from Mexico in 2013, Urias has yet to demonstrate meaningful power but slashed .296/.398/.380, scored 77 runs and posted an impressive BB/K of 1.05 in Double-A last year. Urias is currently 4-for-9 with four doubles and three walks this Spring.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
