5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Luis Urias (wrist) was cleared to resume some baseball activity Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Urías played catch and said it never felt so good. “It went well,” Urías said. “I feel fine. I don’t know when we’re going to start hitting, but it could be today or tomorrow. I’m really happy. It’s good to be out there.” Urías underwent surgery on his left wrist in late January that carries an estimated six-to-eight-week recovery timeline. The 22-year-old Brewer was expected to battle for the starting shortstop position during spring training. While the injury is a minor setback, the team expects him to be ready for Opening Day. He's certainly an intriguing option, especially in dynasty leagues. The move to a more favorable hitter's park should help the young player's potential growth. He has the tools to be an above-average hitter for years to come. Urías should be given every opportunity to show his worth and could be a solid stash to look at late in drafts.--James Stokke
