7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Luke Gregerson (oblique) pitched a perfect inning in his return to Grapefruit League play. It was Gregerson's first time back on the mound in 15 days, as he'd been rehabbing an oblique injury since early in camp. Gregerson was the favorite for saves when spring training began, but his injury has allowed Dominic Leone to sneak into the ninth-inning conversation. As long as Gregerson doesn't experience any more setbacks, he should end up as the closer for St. Louis, but his leash will be short with Leone and Tyler Lyons waiting in the wings.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
