4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit went 1-for-3 with a double, a sacrifice fly, and an RBI in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Phillies. Voit collected his first extra-base hit of the spring on a check-swing double- then later notched his fourth Grapefruit League RBI on a sacrifice fly. The 30-year-old is batting just .167 and has yet to hit a home run in spring training, though he has been dealing with a minor knee issue. Voit had a monster 2020 season, clubbing a career-high 22 homers in the shortened season while scoring 41 runs and driving in 52. Assuming good health, Voit should be a good source of home runs and RBI once again, as well as a contributor in OBP leagues if he can get his walk rate back up to 2019 levels.--Tim Capurso
