4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (knee) could resume swinging a bat on Tuesday, per manager Aaron Boone. Boone said that Voit- who was taking grounders on the field before Sunday's game against the Rays- is doing really well in his recovery from a partial meniscus tear in his left knee. The slugger seems to be trending towards a return soon, which would be excellent news for a Yankees' club that has gotten little production out of the first base spot in his absence. With veteran, Jay Bruce set to retire following Sunday's game, expect the Yankees to go with a combination of DJ LeMahieu and Mike Ford at first until Voit returns.--Tim Capurso
