3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Royals. Voit put the Yankees on the board in the first inning, hitting a two-run single. The slugger now has one homer and four RBI since returning from the injured list, and has started each of the four games at first, with Anthony Rizzo on the COVID-19 injured list. Voit figures to lose some playing time when Rizzo returns, though he could also see some time at designated hitter with Giancarlo Stanton beginning to play more in the outfield. If Voit uses these games to get going on a hot streak, the Yankees may have no choice but to find ways to keep his bat in the lineup.--Tim Capurso
