4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (knee) is expected to make his return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Rays. Voit has looked good in his first game action with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, as he's compiled five hits, two home runs, and a pair of walks in four rehab games for the Triple-A affiliate. The slugging first baseman is slated to start as the designated hitter in Sunday's game, presumably his final minor-league game before his expected return on Tuesday. Voit's return will mean less playing time for Mike Ford and Rougned Odor (knee) moving forward. The former Cardinal led the majors in home runs in 2020- and has posted a .915 OPS in three seasons with the Yankees.--Tim Capurso
