3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (oblique) could start a rehab assignment on Sunday or Tuesday, per manager Aaron Boone. The Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have a scheduled off-day on Monday, so Voit will likely join the team either before or after for what will be around a week of rehab games, per Boone. It makes sense for the slugger to have a more lengthy assignment, considering he's already been injured this season. Voit has posted just a .530 OPS in 12 games this year, but he clubbed 22 homers during the shortened 2020 season.--Tim Capurso
