6 years agoCardinals starting pitcher Luke Weaver has had himself a rough season so far. After a couple of smooth outings in July, Weaver found himself in hot water once again in Chicago. Weaver allowed 12 men on base and somehow only gave up three runs while only striking out two in four innings. The 24-year old has been a disappointing fantasy asset in 2018. Some geniuses such as myself drafted Weaver in the top 100 of drafts expecting a repeat of last season's performances. It's safe to say that we have been bamboozled. Although Weaver has shown glimpses in recent outings and sporadically throughout the season, it's becoming more and more evident that he won't be a reliable starter this year.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
