Luke Weaver Has Rehab Assignment Stopped
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver (shoulder) had his rehab assignment put on pause due to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. It doesn't sound like Weaver tested positive, but the organization is being safe. The right-hander will not pitch until he clears all needed protocols. Weaver has been sidelined since mid-May because of a right rotator cuff strain. Possibly, Weaver has some deep league value down the stretch, but it's uncertain when he'll return to the big league roster.
