4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver put up his best start in nearly a month on Monday night, tossing 6 1/3 scoreless innings against the Marlins in a 5-2 victory. Weaver allowed just four hits to the Marlins, as he also posted his second straight outing with six strikeouts. He had been struggling over his last four starts, allowing 17 runs on 25 hits and 10 walks over 17 innings of work entering Monday night. Despite the nice performance, there isn't much to suggest right now that Weaver has value in any format. Best case scenario, he could be a streaming option in deeper leagues when he has a favorable matchup against a weak offense.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
