7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Luke Weaver is being moved to the bullpen in favor of starter Daniel Poncedeleon, who will start on Tuesday against the Dodgers, according to manager Mike Shildt. Weaver has been too inconsistent, going 6-11 with a 4.67 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 112 K's in 125 1/3 innings. You can drop him if you own him. Poncedeleon took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in his major league debut July 23 against the Reds in his only start so far. He's been great in relief, too, making him an intriguing pickup in deep mixed leagues. We wouldn't recommend him as a great streamer against the Dodgers this week, though.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
