3 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones showed some impressive attributes during Thursday's preseason opener. He finished 13-for-19 on passing attempts with 87 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. The Pats were a run-heavy team, but Jones showed he is capable of running this offense effectively. He was able to get the ball out on time, fit it in tight windows, and limit his mistakes. Veteran Cam Newton might have the edge for the starting job right now because of his track record.
