Mac Jones Puts On A Show To End The Preseason
3 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones gave the fans and the coaching staff something to think about heading into the regular season. The rookie quarterback ended the preseason with a bang on Sunday. He completed 10-of-14 passing attempts for 156 yards and one touchdown in the win over the New York Giants. Cam Newton only played two drives, while Jones played well into the second half. The fact Newton didn't play much could indicate he's the starter going into the regular season. If so, Newton holds QB2 value because of his legs. However, Jones isn't far behind Newton and actually holds much more upside in terms of fantasy value. Head coach Bill Belichick declined to announce a starter after the game. Newton will probably win the spot, but Jones isn't far behind him. Jones played well on during the preseason and showed he's capable of leading this offense.
