3 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood made his first start of the season on Friday night against the Los Angeles Kings. He stopped 26 of 29 shots in the overtime loss. Blackwood had missed the first several weeks of the regular season due to a heel injury suffered during the preseason. The goalie had to stop several point-blank scoring chances during New Jersey's penalty kills before one went in late in the third period. One slight concern is that Blackwood's heal is about 90%.
