3 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 42 shots in a 4-0 shutout win over the New York Islanders on Thursday. Blackwood was at his best early in this tilt as the Islanders kept mounting pressure at even strength. The New Jersey netminder has looked better and better after a preseason heel injury knocked back his season debut a bit. Blackwood's lateral movement is improved again after struggling with it and COVID-19 last season. The weekend will be a huge test for Blackwood, as he will start either against Boston or the New York Rangers.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
