3 years agoNew Jersey Devils goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood will return from a neck injury on Wednesday against Buffalo, recording his 16th start of the campaign. The 25-year-old had a lot of success early in the season, but he's now carrying a 5-6-3 record with a 3.14 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. He's given up 12 goals in three games after posting his second shutout of the season against Philadelphia on Dec. 8. It's hard to rely on Blackwood to get the job done, but Wednesday's matchup is one of the easiest a goalie can get. The Sabres have notched just five wins since starting the season 5-1-1 and they are one of the lowest-scoring sides in the league with a 2.67 goals-for average.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
