5 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner missed out on a win in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Pirates. Bumgarner pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including a solo home run) and two walks with five strikeouts. He left the game with his team up 4-2 but the Giants bullpen collapsed, allowing four runs in the ninth inning. Bumgarner has been excellent once again this season, posting a 3.77 ERA with 184 strikeouts and 39 walks in 188 2/3 IP. He will face an excellent matchup against the Marlins at home in his next start.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
