3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner (shoulder) threw a 21-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday, according to MLB.com's Diamondbacks injury tracker. Bumgarner has been out since exiting his June 2 start with left shoulder discomfort that was later diagnosed as left shoulder inflammation. Manager Torey Lovullo said that the next step now is for Bumgarner to throw another rehab start, as he previously threw a rehab start on Monday at the Arizona Complex League in which he tossed 55 pitches over three innings of work. There's still no timetable for his return just yet, but it appears that he is progressing towards a return soon after the All-Star break.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
