6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk with nine strikeouts across seven innings in a quality start and loss against the San Diego Padres on Thursday. He threw 66 of his 92 pitches for strikes and the only mistakes he made was a double to Ian Kinsler and a solo homer to Wil Myers in the fourth inning. Unfortunately for MadBum, Eric Lauer had the San Fran offense on lockdown and he received no run support. He'll look to bounce back next Tuesday in Los Angeles opposite Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Dodgers.--Daniel Dobish
