3 years agoContinuing his hot run in the UFC, Magomed Ankalaev earned a unanimous-decision win over Volkan Oezdemir to open up the main card of UFC 267 on Saturday. Statistically, Ankalaev was able to out-strike the kickboxer by landing 66 significant strikes (76 total strikes) while only securing one of his four takedown tries. Improving to 16-1 in his professional career, the top-ranked light heavyweight could very easily find himself in the title talks for next year. Let's see how he is matched up next, but it is likely we see him take another jump in competition, and he could very well earn more decision wins.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
