4 years agoBaltimore Orioles third baseman Maikel Franco continued his slow start to the season in Monday's 0-7 loss to the Yankees, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout. He is now hitting just .188 with one extra-base hit through the first four games of the season. Franco was signed by the O's late in spring training, so he did not have as much time to prepare for the season as many of his teammates. As such, it is not all that unexpected to see him struggle early on. Hopefully, he will be able to turn things around with a few more games under his belt, but that may not happen in Tuesday's matchup against Gerrit Cole.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
