4 years agoBaltimore Orioles third baseman Maikel Franco saved his team from being no-hit in Monday's 10-2 loss to the Astros, going 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a strikeout. Franco launched an eighth-inning Brandon Bielak breaking pitch over the center-field wall to end the no-hit bid as well as the shutout. Franco is having an extremely disappointing season, slashing just .212/.254/.377 with nine HR and 38 RBI. He was a huge fantasy value last season, but is not worth a roster spot until he can prove that he can hit consistently.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
