Mallex Smith Extends Hitting Streak To 10 Games
6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mallex Smith went 2-for-4 with a walk in Tuesday’s loss versus the Twins. He scored a pair of runs and stole his 17th base of the year extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Smith has hit .295 in this span slowly upping his average after batting under the Mendoza line for most of the season. For the year he’s swatting .216 with three homers, 26 runs, and 16 RBI as his fantasy value continues to reside with his high steal total, which ranks second in all of baseball. Smith’s increased production at the top of the M’s order should land him a home in every league format since he can be a difference maker in the SB column.
