5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mallex Smith did a little bit of everything Friday night going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks in the team’s 10-9 win. Smith recorded a double, four runs, two steals, and an RBI boosting his batting average to .230 on the year with 21 thefts. The speedster has hit much better of late clubbing a crisp .292 in 20 June games, recording a hit in 18 of these contests. Smith remains fixed at the top of the M’s high-scoring offense, making him a reliable run source to go along with his elite stolen base ability.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
