7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith (illness) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Smith has been absolutely on fire at the plate, so this illness comes at the worst time. He is being checked out by a doctor and should be back in the lineup in a couple of days. Brandon Lowe, Kevin Kiermaier and Carlos Gomez will cover the outfield against righty Hector Velazquez on Friday. DFS players can avoid all three of these hitters.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
