Mallex Smith Out Of Thursday's Lineup

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith will be getting a rest day on Thursday when Tampa takes on the Los Angeles Angels. Smith has been an impressive source of speed to start the 2018 campaign, as he has nine steals to go along with a .308 average. His power numbers are sorely lacking with only nine RBI and zero home runs through 37 games, but Smith is still a serviceable outfield option for those fantasy managers desperate for stolen bases. Johnny Field is taking over Smith's place in center field and will bat eighth in the order.
