5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mallex Smith is finding his groove at the plate as of late with a 2-for-4 day on Wednesday. He hit a run-scoring triple, drew a walk, scored a run, and stole his 13th bag of the year filling up the scorecard in the team's 8-7 loss. Smith is now 7-for-12 over his last three starts as he got bumped back up into the leadoff spot in the previous two contests. Batting at the top of the lineup is a significant boost to his fantasy outlook giving him plenty of opportunities to score runs and steal bases. Smith will have to remain getting on base if he wants to stay there, and hopefully, this mini-streak will set him on the right path.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
