6 years agoSeattle Mariners center fielder Mallex Smith led off for the club once again Monday night and reached base three times. He went 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base as he got the offense rolling scoring the first run of the game. It was the second theft of the season for Smith, and he should continue to pile up the stolen bases and the runs leading off for the M's this year. The team moved him down in the order against a left-hander on the weekend, but he batted .337 off these arms a year ago and should remain in the leadoff spot regardless of who takes the hill.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
