Manny Machado Annihilates Two Baseballs In Philly
3 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado reached base in all five plate appearances Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies, pummelling three home runs and walking thrice, scoring three runs and driving in five. Machado victimized Phillies starter Vince Velasquez twice with a two-run shot in the first inning before doubling down with a three-run tater in the third frame. The 28-year-old continues hammering the baseball and the results are starting to follow with nine dingers since June 1. Overall, Machado is slashing .264/.346/.482 with 15 homers, nine steals and 104 runs-plus-RBI across 324 plate appearances. As a fantasy player, he's as consistent and balanced as they come.
