4 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a game-winning two-run homer Sunday against the Houston Astros. He also stole his third bag. Batting with a runner on in the eighth frame, Machado broke a 3-3 tie with an opposite-field dinger against reliever Enoli Paredes to secure the Friars sweep. Previously battling some unlucky batted-ball outcomes, Machado is riding a six-game hitting streak, batting .478 (11-for-23) and cracking three homers. Overall, the 28-year-old is slashing .257/.359/.531 with eight long balls and 44 runs-plus-RBI in 131 plate appearances. With Machado humming, the Padres have won seven straight and Manny is back to being Manny as a solid fantasy contributor.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
