4 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman crushed a grand slam in Tuesday’s victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Machado hammered a bases loaded offering from starter Ross Stripling in the third frame over center field to secure the Friars 6-2 victory. He finished 2-for-4 on the evening. While Machado’s batting average has been subpar this season (.232), his counting stats are piling up with five long balls, 25 runs-plus-RBI and two steals. A .370 xwOBA suggests better days ahead. If his early splits are any indication, Machado is a worthwhile DFS candidate against left-handed pitching away from Petco Park.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
