Manny Pina Delivers Clutch Home Run In Win
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher Manny Pina went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and two runs in the 11-10 win over the Colorado Rockies. With the Brewers down 10-8 in the ninth inning, Pina crushed a two-run home run to tie the game, leading to the eventual Brewers win. Pina has struggled for majority of the season, only hitting at a .188 pace over the season and hasn't looked that great in May either with a .172 batting average. With Stephen Vogt getting re-injured and will now most likely miss the rest of the season, Manny Pina will get a large majority of the starts at catcher for the Brewers this year. If he can start to pick up his consistency when it comes to hitting, he has the potential to hold mixed format relevance due to his workload at catcher.
