Manuel Margot To Make $5.6 Million In 2022
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Manuel Margot avoided salary arbitration on Tuesday by agreeing to a one-year, $5.6 million deal. Margot finished last season with a .254/.313/.382 slash line, 10 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 464 plate appearances over 125 games. The 27-year-old has been pretty average with the bat, but he's a strong outfielder defensively for the Rays, and he could see more playing time in 2022 if the team trades Austin Meadows. Unless he's guaranteed more playing time, Margot will likely go undrafted in most shallow mixed leagues this spring.
