5 years agoThe Oakland Raiders have thrown in the towel on wide receiver Marcell Ateman releasing him on Saturday. A seventh-round pick a season ago, Ateman did little in his rookie year catching 15 passes for 157 yards and was overshadowed by other receivers in this year's preseason. He's an underwhelming talent but has an advantage in size with a 6'4" frame and may be able to latch on elsewhere in the league. Ateman's release opens the door even wider for undrafted rookie Keelan Doss to make the team after a terrific preseason.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
