Marcell Ozuna Takes A Seat Against Mets
2 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's day game against the division-rival New York Mets. Ozuna has gone just 5-for-25 (.200) with seven strikeouts in seven games over the last week, so he's just receiving a normal day off in the series finale. Overall, the 31-year-old slugger is hitting only .226/.282/.418, but he does have 17 home runs, 37 RBI, 41 runs scored and two stolen bases in 328 at-bats in 2022. Wednesday will be his first day off since June 19. Adam Duvall is starting in left field and batting seventh, while Eddie Rosario will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth against Mets right-hander Chris Bassitt on Wednesday.
