Marco Estrada Leaves Due To Hip Soreness
6 years agoTo update a previous item, we now know the reason Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marco Estrada (hip) left Tuesday’s start against the New York Mets -- hip soreness. X-rays on Estrada’s hip came back negative, but he’s undergoing further evaluations. Estrada had left the game after only 12 pitches, exiting after surrendering a home run to Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera. It’s already a shame that Estrada had to leave such a juicy matchup, but it was clear something was up when his fastball only topped out at 85 mph. With the hot month of June Estrada had, it would be an even bigger shame if he were forced to miss time after seemingly getting it together in 2018.
