Marco Gonzales Gets Slaughtered Against Cubs
5 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales made his spring debut against the Chicago Cubs but failed to impress. The 28-year-old, who is slated to be on the hill on Opening Day, lasted less than an inning, giving up five runs, three hits, and walking two. He also added a strikeout. Gonzales finished the 2019 season with a decent 16-13 record to go along with a respectable 3.99 ERA. However, don't expect much of anything from the lefty outside of strikeouts as he will likely have more bad outings than good this upcoming season, especially playing on a Seattle team that is lacking on the offensive end.
