Marco Gonzales Leaves Start After Getting Hit By Liner
3 years agoSeattle Mariners left-hander Marco Gonzales left his Wednesday start against the Tampa Bay Rays in the first inning after being hit in the left wrist by a line drive. Gonzalez was on his 11th pitch of the game when Harold Ramirez sent a liner back up the middle, striking Gonzales on his pitching arm. The veteran hurler was replaced on the mound by Yohan Ramirez. Gonzales will head off for X-rays, so expect the Mariners to update his status after the completion of Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old has a 3.86 ERA through four starts in 2022.
