7 years agoThe Seattle Mariners placed starting pitcher Marco Gonzales (neck) on the 10-day disabled list on Monday with a cervical neck strain. The move is retroactive to Aug. 24. In a corresponding move, outfielder Guillermo Heredia was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma. Gonzales has had a rough go of it in August, going 0-4 with a 10.35 ERA with four home runs allowed in his four starts. With only a month left in the season, he's probably droppable in mixed leagues. Heredia hasn't done much with the bat this year in the majors and will be a bat off the bench for the M's.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
