5 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Marco Gonzales shut down the Athletics Friday giving up two runs (one earned) over seven innings in the team's 9-2 win. The southpaw walked two and struck out three helping him earn his seventh win on the year and second in a row. Gonzales had lost his previous six decisions with a couple of these outings being nothing short of disastrous as he held a 5.86 ERA in May. The 27-year-old doesn't have spectacular roto stats this year (4.50 ERA/1.39 WHIP) and doesn't strike many batters out limiting his fantasy appeal. He's got a plus matchup, however, when the Royals visit town next week in a good streaming spot.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
