Marco Gonzales Shuts Out Yankees Into Seventh
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales delivered his finest outing of the season Friday, limiting the New York Yankees to just three hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings. He did not give up an earned run for the first time this season. Gonzales struck out five batters. It's been tough sledding this season for the normally reliable Gonzales, but he's now had back-to-back quality starts. Fantasy managers may want to look to Gonzales as a steady option over the last several weeks of the season, especially if injuries have disrupted fantasy playoff plans.
